The story behind every recipe on this site.
La Cucina began in 2018 as a simple idea: take the recipes handed down through generations — from nonnas in Bologna, bistro cooks in Lyon, and home chefs across the Mediterranean — and make them accessible to every home cook.
We believe great food isn't about exotic ingredients or expensive equipment. It's about technique, patience, and the love you put into it. Every recipe on our site has been cooked at least a dozen times in real home kitchens before it earns its place here.
We're a small team of passionate cooks, food writers, and obsessive eaters. We test obsessively. We argue about salt. We think about food even when we're not eating it.
Questions, recipe suggestions, or just want to say hello — we'd love to hear from you.
Whether you've found a bug in a recipe, want to collaborate, or have a story idea, our small team reads every message personally.
